Wedding Report: Jayne & Brian, Part Seven
19 May 2013Jayne and Brian stood at a distance from the rest of the group, curled inside one another’s arms as they watched the sky above them light up in a glittering display. Jayne’s head rested lightly on Brian’s shoulder, revelling in the celebration of their marriage and the audible enchantment of their friends and family behind them. A vintage fur cape clung to her shoulders, but the fondness of the love surrounding the newlyweds was warmth enough.

Wedding Report: Jayne & Brian, Part Six
18 May 2013“I’ve said thank you quite a few times throughout my speech but so far there’s one person I haven’t thanked and that’s one person who really deserves it the most,” Brian said. “So Jayne, thank you for agreeing to go out with me; thank you for laughing at the majority of my jokes; thank you inspiring me with your thoughtfulness, your kindness and making me want to be a better person; thank you for letting me have Sky Sports in the apartment; but most of all thank you for saying yes and thank you for becoming my wife today.”

Wedding Report: Jayne & Brian, Part Four
16 May 2013Those who paused long enough to glance outside spied Jayne and Brian out in the garden with only their photographers for company. Making the most of the rapidly fading light, the newlyweds seemed impervious to the plummeting temperature. Even from the distance of the drawing room, it was clear to see that Brian and Jayne’s only concern was for one another. Their heads tilted together, private words warmed the air between them as they sunk into one another’s arms for picture after picture.

Wedding Report: Jayne & Brian, Part Three
15 May 2013With each member of the Holy Trinity, Brian lightly touched the cool metal of Jayne’s ring to the tip of her index, third and fourth fingers, before attempting to slide it into its new position on her left hand. When the ring stalled at her knuckle, stubbornly refusing to go any further, Jayne threw back her head and let out a delighted chuckle before watching the sparkling band finally slide into place. The small heart-shaped pendant on the simple pearl bracelet Brian had given Jayne the previous evening bounced against the side of the groom’s hand as Jayne repeated the ritual, dancing the ring along all of his fingers before finally bestowing it on to his wedding finger with a careful touch. Their fingers clasped together, squeezing one another in affirmation.

Wedding Report: Jayne & Brian, Part Two
14 May 2013Here before her was the scene she had pictured for months: all of the faces of the most important people in her life were smiling back at her, welling up at the vision of her exquisite custom made gown and wishing her well. And at the head of the aisle was the one man that knew her like nobody else, that wanted to spend the rest of his life with her – it was utterly perfect.

Wedding Report: Jayne & Brian, Part One
13 May 2013Bright blue skies on the cold winter morning created steamy windows as the cavalcade pulled into the car park alongside Ballintubber Abbey. Gentlemen shrugged their shoulders into their dinner jackets; ladies daintily unfolded their skirts as they alighted their vehicles. The chariot carrying the groom sped past the congregation of cars and deposited him neatly at the entrance to the abbey.

Wedding Report: Victoria & Jon, Part Five
08 Mar 2013In that unbreakable, unshakable look was the abundance of love that had flowed between them all day. In that unwavering, delighted eye contact were the vows they had spoken, the promises they had made and the future that they had created. Even as they span away from each other, they returned to that look, that love, that life, which had begun on a bench outside a wine bar in Weybridge and had brought them to be surrounded by the celebration of their family and friends.
