In this moment of calm with all of their guests heading to dinner, Scott and Emma indulged in a quiet instant alone. Stealing away into the dark with their hands clasped together, they carefully picked their way across cobbles back into the farmhouse to retrieve gifts for their wedding party. They talked quickly as they walked, heads bowed together, cementing memories of the day that was already slipping away from them.

Heads bopped, toes tapped and shoulders shimmied to the familiar strains of Chattanooga Choo Choo and Fly Me To The Moon. From the tiniest toddlers who sat at the foot of the stage enraptured by the singing sirens to the oldest relative who listened to the sound of their youth, every pair of ears in the room became attuned to the pleasurable sound dripping into them.

As Emma and Scott declared their lives to be unanimous, the eyes, spirits and souls of a vast array of loved ones watched on. Whether they were physically present in the room, virtually present through the wonder of technology or carried in the hearts and thoughts of others, it would be impossible to say that this young couple were not shrouded in love as they committed to be true to one another.

As you turn off the narrow country lane and pull through the wrought iron gates of Muddifords Court Country House, you feel a little like you’re coming home.
