Wonderful Wednesday Words

Where there is love and inspiration, I don't think you can go wrong." -Ella Fitzgerald Today I bid farewell to the daily grind, to corporate emails and sitting at a desk for 9 hours a day, to fantastic and funny colleagues and to a life that I once thought would fulfil my aspirations. Today I am pursuing what has always been my biggest driving force and my constant companion: my imagination. Today I step into the world of self-employment, earning a living from writing and devoting my time to The Wedding Reporter and all that it entails. Never has such a momentous decision felt so good. I can't wait to show you what I'm capable of.

Appreciating the art of writing
03 Oct 2011When I tell people what I do they tend to look at me as though I am made of magic. They tell me it's amazing that I write. I kind of shrug a bit and shake my head. I'm not being smug, I just tend to believe that putting sentences together is something that anybody can do. No, they tell me, it is not. For some people writing is as strange and mysterious as the art of algebra is to me. Apparently it is not second nature to everyone.
